Bill is my cousin and was very dear to all of us. He was second of all our cousins. Joyce his sister was first , then Bill, Joe, my brother, Yancy and on down the line. We had a bunch of cousins and made a lot of memories growing up. We always ate together on holidays and lots of Sundays. We spent many hours playing together and as we grew up, many hours working together on the farm . Bill was a hard worker and he knew how to work. When he was 16, he took on the responsibility of driving all of us to the fields on a flat bed truck with sideboards. He was a safe driver and always kept us safe. We worked hard , but laughed and had fun together.
Bill always had a beautiful smile and I loved to hear him laugh. I can still hear his laugh today and I hope I never forget it. He had the prettiest black hair. He always kept his cars and trucks clean and shining. You didn’t see him driving a dirty car!
Bill had a kind heart and would help anyone that needed help. He was always there when anyone in the family passed away. You would walk in and there was Bill sitting on couch, there for support. He seemed to never meet a stranger and could talk to anyone. He got that trait from his mother and my aunt, Polly Corum!
Diane, I am sorry for you and all of the family. Thank you for taking care of him and loving him the way you did.
Bill, all of Aunt Dorothy’s children will love you forever! Jeneane Ezell
