Obituary of Ora Shelby Patterson

Ora Shelby Patterson, 73, of Florence, AL, left this earthly world on Friday, December 24, 2021 to meet her savior Jesus Christ. She was Momma, Aunt Shelby, tay-tay, and beloved friend to all who knew her. She was a loving Christian woman who left the following message to be read by all: My Prayer to my family and loved ones: I pray for your health, your wisdom to do what is right, your financial needs, but most of all I pray you think about your lives and where you are in your spiritual opinion. I pray someday, someway, somehow, you find a bible believing Church where you can learn about Jesus, not just hear about Him. I pray each of you, someday before it is too late, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. He is waiting for you to call on Him. That is all it takes. Shelby was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Patterson; her mother-in-law Lucille Patterson; and her parents Rube and Ora Wallace. She is survived by her son, Tommy Patterson (Amber); her brother Bill Wallace (Diann); her sister Margaret Hanback (Arlon); her nephews Wallace Hanback and Chuck Hanback (Danielle); her nieces Kristy Wallace (Randy) and Melinda Wallace (Jamie); her grandson Karter; her great nephews Mason Hanback, Dalton Hanback, and Carter Hanback; and her great niece, Charlee Hanback. Her ashes, joined with Jackie’s, will be memorialized in a Memorial Service on January 9, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Gray's Chapel Baptist Church.
