Mary Evelyn Dickerson Gist, 88, of Florence, AL, passed away December 2, 2020 at El Reposo Nursing Home. Mrs. Gist was a retired Inspector and Seamstress for T.J. Manufacturing and a member of Stutts Road Church of Christ. Evelyn was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who always had a hug and a kiss for everyone.
Evelyn is survived by:
Sons: David Dickerson, Dale Gist (Gale), and Kerry Gist (Kim)
Daughters: Mary Turner (John) and Donna King (Bobby)
(11) Grandchildren & (17) Great-grandchildren
Numerous Nieces and Nephews
She was preceded in death by:
First Husband: Reed Dickerson
Second Husband: Marshall Gist
Stepsons: Jackie Gist and Harold Gist
Grandson: Shane Dickerson
Parents: Dewey Richardson and Ruby Dean Richardson
(1) sister and (4) brothers
There will be a graveside service held for Evelyn on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 12:00 P.M. at Shiloh Cemetery with Bro. Tim Grigsby officiating.
Pallbearers will be Gary Ross, Ronnie Marks, Tyler Dickerson, Wheeler Dickerson, Rory Gist, and Jared King.
The family would like to send special thanks and appreciation to the staff and administration at El Reposo Nursing Home for the loving care and kindness they have always shown to her.
