Ronald Venoy Pettus, 78, of Lexington AL passed away on April 7,2025 at his home surrounded by his family. Ronnie enjoyed working and trading cars of all kinds. He would leave for work in one vehicle come home in a different one quite often. His biggest passion and love of cars was for his 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, which he purchased brand new off the show room floor and still owns today. He was a member of Mt Pleasant Baptist Church, Lexington AL. He was retired from Reynolds Reclamation Plant as a 50 year member of the Operating Engineers Local #320 and a member of Lexington Masonic Lodge #613. He is preceded in death by: Wife: Brenda Greenhill Pettus Parents: Arvel and Mamie Dee Pettus Sister: Susan Hanson Brother-in-law: Harold Berry Dog and constant sidekick: Sadie Pearl He is survived by his children: Leann Pettus Breckenridge (David) Richie Pettus(Beth) Grandchildren: Colby Breckenridge (Grace) Allie Pettus (Brayden) Ella Grace Pettus (Nic) Sister: Gail Berry Brother-in-law: Quinton Hanson Special Cousin: Jane McCain Nephews: Todd Berry (Sandy) Paul Hanson (Amanda) Will Hanson (Meg) And numerous cousins. Visitation will be Thursday April 10, 2025 12pm-2pm with funeral following at 2 pm at Greenhill Funeral Home with Jason Vinson officiating. Burial following at the Pettus Cemetery.
