Obituary of Betty Drake

Betty Sue Drake, 53, passed away from this life April 20, 2009, after a brief illness at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home. Visitation will be at Greenhill Funeral Home Thursday, April 23, 2009, from 11-2 p.m. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. Tim Grigsby officiating. Her burial will be in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Iron City, TN. Betty was a devoted and loving nurse for Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home for almost 20 years. She loved her mother dearly and took care of her for over 20 years and also took care of her at the nursing home. She loved every resident and family member as if they were her own and loved them with special care. She leaves behind her memory, her mother Jacquelyn Broadhead, Killen; two sisters, Wanda Poole, Ft.Worth, TX and Anna (Ricky) Poole, Florence; and one brother, Earnest Ray Rester (Mary Belle), Iron City, TN. She was preceded in death by her father, Brumfield Albert Rester and one brother, David Wayne Rester. Pallbearers will be Bill Erwin, Tim Morrow, David Grigsby, Wayne Wood, Tommy Poole, and Justine Hodges. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Poole and the employees of Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home. Betty will be missed by all that loved and knew her.
