Obituary of Freeman Fowler

Mr. Freeman Fowler, 90, of Loretto, passed away Monday, March 09, 2009 at his residence after an extended illness. He was a Veteran of World War II and a native of Loretto, TN. He was retired from Augustin Lumber Company and Salant and Salant, and a member of Loretto Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He is survived by one son, Carl (Dub) Fowler and one daughter, Dottie Rohling and husband Richard, all of Loretto. Three grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and several nieces and nephews also survive him. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Annie Sandrell Fowler, his father and mother, James and Katherine Fowler; five brothers, Charlie, Clarence, Leonard, Henry, and Elmer Fowler; six sisters, Claudia, Idell, Alice, Myrtle, and Lillie Fowler, and Ople Beckman. Visitation will be at Greenhill Funeral Home on Tuesday, March l0, and 2009, from 5:00 to 8:00pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm. The funeral will be at l0:00 am Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Loretto Sacred Heart Church with Father Tomy P. Joseph, MSFS, and Deacon Sam Beckman officiating. Burial will be in Loretto Sacred Heart Cemetery with Military Honors. Pallbearers will be: Bill Frost, Ray Henkel, Joe Telker, Mike Sandrell, Joe Reeves, and Jim Fowler. Greenhill Funeral Home is directing.
